WAPO Bashes Sarah Palin, Reports ‘Falling Star’
In a demonstrative display of journalistic blasphemy, Jonathan Capehart of the Washington Post reports that Sarah Palin’s celebrity status and popularity in the GOP is fading fast. Within the same post, Capehart reveals that Palin currently sits fifth among Republican presidential hopefuls.
Rick Perry - 21% (+21)
Mitt Romney - 18% (-3)
Michele Bachmann - 15% (+4)
Ron Paul - 12% (+4)
Sarah Palin - 10% (-5)
Newt Gingrich - 7% (-5)
Herman Cain - 6% (-9)
Rick Santorum - 5% (+5)
John Huntsman - 3% (+3)
Capehart does not maintain that these polls are cyclical, and have no bearing on actual sentiment. Palin has time on her side and an effective amount of PR could easily up-swing her momentum.
